The Event Design and Production (EDP) certificate program is designed to provide intermediate and advanced levels of knowledge in special event creation and execution, along with the necessary organizational, site, design, production and execution strategies. Emphasis is made in event chronology, balancing corporate objectives and cost ratios, design objectives, vendor management, risk management plans, communications, timelines, production schedules and post-event analysis.

This comprehensive training curriculum was developed specifically for those seeking credentials for career advancement. Students graduate equipped with the knowledge and skills for designing, planning, coordinating and executing special events. Lectures and assignments drive this course. Students also are required to complete a final project by planning a special event from start to finish.

Counts for 9 professional development points towards the CSEP certification.

PREREQUISITE

 

High school diploma or GED

Students must have successfully received a TISOH Conference Management & Event Planning Certificate, or Wedding Coordination & Design Certificate, or have two years of documented experience in conference management and event planning or wedding design.

UPCOMING SESSION DATES:

Interactive online learning. Students will begin their course alongside a cohort of fellow online students who will share the learning experience through discussion forums. Study at your own pace within the schedule provided under the guidance of a dedicated online instructor. The curriculum is divided into easily navigable modules, each containing lectures, quizzes, assignments and supplemental reading materials in addition to textbook learning.
