The International School of Hospitality (TISOH) celebrates the remarkable achievements of its alumni and faculty at the 3rd Annual Vegas Wedding Awards. The gala, presented by the Las Vegas Wedding Chamber of Commerce at the Plaza Hotel & Casino, honored the industry leaders who reinforce Las Vegas’s status as the Wedding Capital of the World.

The event highlighted TISOH’s significant impact on the hospitality industry, with many of its alumni and faculty receiving top honors. These awards underscore the school’s 20-year legacy of fostering talent and shaping successful careers. The TISOH community proudly recognizes the accomplishments of its members and their contributions to the wedding industry.

  • Alum Gary Bordman, owner of Amusement Exhibition and Event Services, for Design and Decor Vendor of the Year.
  • Alum Bri Asher, owner of Las Vegas Weddings, for Wedding Planner of the Year. Asher and her husband, Shawn, also received the prestigious Andy Ebon Lifetime Achievement Award.
  • Alum Charity Mills of Theme Las Vegas Weddings for Wedding Officiant of the Year.
  • Faculty member Gabriella Cote of Alexis Park All-Suite Resort for Banquet Hall/Reception Venue of the Year.

TISOH’s Celine Ngo Honored with Spirit of NACE Award

The International School of Hospitality (TISOH) proudly announces that Celine Ngo, its Student and Community Engagement Specialist, received the prestigious Spirit of NACE award from the National Association for Catering and Events (NACE) Las Vegas Chapter. The honor was presented at the annual NACE Las Vegas Board Installation & Industry Awards Gala, held on January 21, 2026, at the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas.

The Spirit of NACE award recognizes an individual for their outstanding commitment to the chapter and their dedication to advancing the catering and events industry. This award celebrates Ngo as an up-and-coming leader who embodies TISOH’s mission of helping members improve their careers and achieve excellence. In addition to this honor, Ngo was officially installed to the NACE Las Vegas Chapter board as the new Communication and Social Media Chair.

TISOH’s support for NACE reflects a long-standing tradition of leadership and industry advancement. The school’s leaders have consistently held prominent roles within the organization. Dr. Donnell Bayot, TISOH’s Director of Academic Affairs, is a former NACE national president, and Timothy Lam, TISOH Executive Director, previously served as President of the Foundation of NACE.

TISOH won “Event Production of the Year” at the NACE Las Vegas Awards Gala for its 20th Anniversary Gala, “A Night to Remember,” led by award-winning designer Lenny Talarico.

The International School of Hospitality (TISOH) secured the prestigious “Event Production of the Year” title at the NACE Las Vegas Board Installation & Industry Awards Gala. Held on January 21, 2026, at the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas, the ceremony recognized the school for its landmark production, “A Night to Remember: TISOH’s 20th Anniversary Gala.”

The event, originally held at the Aria Resort & Casino, celebrated two decades of educational excellence in hospitality. Produced under the creative leadership of award-winning event designer Lenny Talarico, CSEP, the gala showcased a sophisticated design narrative themed “Past, Present, and Future.” This recognition by the National Association for Catering and Events (NACE) Las Vegas Chapter cements TISOH’s reputation not just as an educational institution, but as a leader capable of executing high-level event production.

“A Night to Remember” immersed guests in a three-stage progression of design and experience. The evening began with a cocktail hour honoring the “Past,” featuring a 19-foot LED wall highlighting the school’s history. A formal dinner represented the “Present” with shortened programming to maximize connection, followed by a “Future” themed reception complete with interactive dessert stations and a massive LED sphere. The production prioritized guest engagement and innovative flow, moving away from traditional gala formats to create a dynamic, attendee-focused experience.

During the CES conference, the visit offered ISG students an opportunity to explore emerging market trends, innovations, and the dynamic landscape of hospitality within one of the world’s most renowned destinations.

Students met with key industry leaders and gained hands-on insights into the operational and strategic dimensions of hospitality management.

Attendees had the unique opportunity to participate in a private panel discussion at TISOH featuring two distinguished experts. Sebastien Thevenin, Honorary Consul of France to Las Vegas & Southern Nevada and an active instructor at TISOH specializing in exhibition and tradeshow management, joined Jaime Miranda, former Senior Vice President of Hotel Operations at The Venetian Hotel and a valued Advisory Board member at TISOH. On May 5th, The International School of Hospitality (TISOH) commemorated 20 years of advancing the hospitality industry with a vibrant celebration, held in the Primrose Ballroom at the Aria Resort and Casino, Las Vegas. The event, themed “Past, Present, and Future,” honored the institution’s decades-long contributions to hospitality education while setting sights on what lies ahead.

The evening began with a cocktail hour highlighting the founding of TISOH through a visual narrative. This was followed by a presentation of the school with brief keynote remarks that celebrated industry colleagues from the Nevada Hotel & Lodging Association (NHLA) and the National Association for Catering and Events (NACE). Guests savored a thoughtfully curated menu, including a chilled vichyssoise and a signature Chicken Leg Lollipop—each dish reflecting TISOH’s ethos of simple yet elevated hospitality.
