TISOH Offers 2 Diploma Programs and 13 Professional Certificates

At TISOH, we offer several options for students to create their own path towards the education and training they desire. TISOH offers two different diploma options, as well as 13 different professional certificate programs to choose from. With this spectrum of offerings, you can customize your education and training to fit your goals. 

Diploma Programs - Thorough, Comprehensive Programs to Equip Students with a Broad Range of Skills and Knowledge

Diploma in Hospitality Operations (DHO)

The Diploma in Hospitality Operations (DHO) is designed for students who are beginning their hospitality careers. The choice of electives in the DHO program allows students to customize their education and chart their unique path towards their career goal in the industry.

  • Achievable in as few as 11 months
  • 360 clock-hour program, consisting of 33 quarter credits
  • Five required courses: 
    • Hospitality Today
    • Hospitality Marketing and Sales
    • Hospitality Supervision
    • Professional Presence in Hospitality
    • Hospitality Externship
  • Choice of two elective courses (Conference Management and Event Planning, Hotel Operations, or Wedding Coordination and Design; and Art of Concierge, Event Design and Production, or Meeting and Event Catering)
  • Prerequisite: high school diploma or equivalent; there is no work experience required.

Executive Diploma in Hospitality Operations (EDHO)

The Executive Diploma in Hospitality Operations (EDHO) is designed for students who are looking to advance their careers in the field of hospitality - students who already have at least 2 years of supervisory experience in the hospitality industry, The EDHO prepares students to pursue the next level of their careers by providing instruction in leadership, human resources management, marketing and sales fundamentals, and data-driven decision making.

  • Achievable in as few as 7 months
  • 315 clock-hour program, consisting of 31.5 quarter credits
  • Five required courses:
    • Hospitality Human Resources
    • Hospitality Leadership and Management
    • Hospitality Marketing and Sales
    • Revenue Management and Analytics
    • Hospitality Colloquia
  • Prerequisite: 2 years of supervisory experience in the hospitality industry

Both diploma options offer students TISOH’s CAREERsuite of personalized services including assistance in career placement, resume writing, interviewing skills, networking opportunities, counseling and more. 

Certificate Programs - Focused, Accelerated Programs for Developing a Specific Skill Set

If you are interested in developing a specific skill set, TISOH’s professional certificate programs are single-topic and focused, allowing you to customize your education by choosing the program that matches your interest and the area in which you are looking to specialize. Earning professional certificates through TISOH increases your competitive advantage, demonstrating to potential employers your high level of understanding, initiative, and focus.
