In comparison, in 2019 there were just over 73,000 wedding ceremonies conducted, and 2020 saw a low of just 54,575. This data indicates the wedding industry is returning from pandemic lows even stronger than ever before.
The return of the wedding industry in 2022 is indicative of Las Vegas’ strong overall economic resurgence. According to a report titled “The Economic Impact of Wedding Tourism in Clark County,” wedding tourism in Las Vegas generates at least $2 billion annually for the Vegas economy. In 2021, weddings generated $2.6 billion in overall economic impact, and $88 million in tax revenue. The weddings sector of Las Vegas’ economy also directly supports over 18,000 jobs in the city, and this number is only growing as the sector rebounds further this year.
